Number

On this page you will find instructions on how to set up a Number chart.

The Number item can be used for the display of a single number (e.g. total participants).

  1. Click on the Settings Number,

  2. insert the information (see explanation below),

     

  3. select an Aggregation Configuration from the dropdown list or create a new one by clicking on the Create Button and

  4. click on the Save Button.

Show trend

You can add an extra feature to the number chart by comparing your current value with another data point from the past and displaying the change as a percentage or absolute value.

To include the trend to your number chart, follow these steps:

  1. In the Chart Settings of your number chart, activate the Show Trend toggle.

  2. Select the aggregation that produces the value that you want to compare your current value to. An example would be to compare the number of students today (your first aggregation) to the number of students last year (the aggregation that you would select in this step)).

  3. Choose whether you want to display the change, the ‘trend’, as a percentage or in absolute value.

  4. Add a title, a Trend Message, to the comparison, e.g. “compared to last year”.

  5. Click Apply and Save the dashboard.
