Adding Submissions

On this page you will find instructions for adding and editing submissions to a data collection.

In each data collection you can add a submissions regardless of the Data View that you are in.

  1. Open the data collection via the navigation bar or the data settings.

    In the navigation bar you will usually find all your data collections under “data collections”, “project data” or even “data management” as seen in the image below. To open any of the data collections simply click on them and the system will redirect you to the data view.

In the data view, you will able to see a data table with all the data that has been submitted. The image below shows you an example of this.

On the left side you can see that the data collection “Enrolments” has been selected, you will see the name of the data collection above the table as well.

Above the table you will usually see three different tabs labelled: “Dashboard”, “Data” and “Import”.

Dashboard: A dashboard is there to visualise your data for a more accessible overview.

Data: This is the data table view which shows you all the information that has been entered for the particular data collection

Import: This tab will redirect you to the import feature for the data collection to perform a bulk import of data from an excel file.

Add Submission
1. To add a new submission click on the “Add” Button on the top right.

2. This will open up the data entry form for the data collection with all question to be answered.

3. Enter all information that is required and then click on save to store the entry in the system.

4. Your entry has now been submitted. Depending on the set-up of your tenant you will now either see your new entry in the data table or that it has been submitted to a data manager for review and approval. Should the data manager approve your entry, you will be able to see it in the data view. Should the data manager have a question or comment about your entry you will be notified as soon as they reviewed the entry and have added their comments. Should this be the case, you will see a notification on the top of your screen as shown in the image below. Clicking on the relevant notification will then redirect you to the entry that has been reviewed and commented on. You can then adjust your entry and resubmit it following the steps described above.
